At Making Change Pawsible, our mission has always been simple: make sure no dog goes hungry and no pet owner feels alone. But something incredible happened during the first half of this year.
We started by helping people. While many know us for supporting dogs and their families, Q1 and Q2 were focused on making sure pet owners had access to the resources they needed to stay healthy. Because when an owner is struggling with their health, it becomes harder to care for the companion who depends on them every day. The bond between a pet and its owner is powerful. Dogs provide unconditional love, comfort during difficult moments, emotional support during life's challenges, and a reason to keep going when things feel overwhelming. We believe that kind of love deserves to be returned.

January 2026
The start of a new year is supposed to feel hopeful. Fresh goals. Fresh starts. A chance to do things better. But for many families, January and February bring something else entirely — financial pressure. Health insurance premiums reset. Monthly bills pile up. And people are forced to make impossible choices between their health and basic necessities. At Making Change Pawsible, we believe no one should have to choose. More Than Feeding Dogs — Expanding Our Impact Our mission has always been rooted in compassion. Feeding dogs has been at the heart of what we do, because no dog should go hungry. But as the needs in our community grow, so does our responsibility. This year, we’re expanding our reach. We’re proud to launch a New Year Health & Wellness Initiative that supports both humans and dogs, because strong communities care for all lives. November was more than just a month of giving — it was a month of impact, intention, and expanding our mission in ways that truly touched lives. At Making Change Pawsible, we’ve always believed in feeding dogs, supporting families, and strengthening our community… but this November, we went above and beyond.
All Bark No Bite — A Celebration With Purpose This month, we hosted our biggest event yet: All Bark No Bite. A day filled with dogs, smiles, and meaningful connections, the purpose went far beyond the fun. Together with generous supporters, volunteers, and community partners, we were able to raise funds to feed 10 dogs and one human for an entire month. That’s not just a number — that’s 11 lives we touched directly because people believed in our mission. Feeding More Than Dogs While our hearts beat strong for every furry friend, November reminded us that sometimes the need extends beyond paws. During an outreach visit, we encountered a family with a young infant struggling to secure enough formula for their baby. Without hesitation, Making Change Pawsible stepped in and provided a full month’s supply of baby formula. Because when we say we feed, we mean it — whether it’s a hungry dog… or a hungry baby. This moment was powerful. It reminded us that the spirit of compassion doesn’t come with limitations — it comes with purpose. Finishing the Year Strong As we move into the final stretch of 2025, one thing is certain: we’re not slowing down. The fourth quarter is still in full swing, and we’re pushing harder than ever to feed as many dogs as possible before the year ends. Our mission is simple — make change pawsible, one meal at a time — and thanks to the support of our community, we’re doing exactly that. Thank You for Standing With Us To everyone who donated, volunteered, shared a post, showed up, or believed in our vision this November: Thank you. Your support didn’t just feed dogs — it fed hope. It fed families. It fed the belief that kindness still leads the way. And we’re just getting started. Making Change Pawsible is closing the year with purpose, passion, and paws on the ground. Let’s finish strong, together This year, your generosity helped us keep tails wagging across Tampa. From January through September, we provided consistent nutrition to dogs whose families are navigating housing and income instability.
Dogs Fed (Year to Date)
Total (Q1–Q3): 94 dogs How Much Food That Equates To
Using a conservative baseline of ~10 lb per dog (20 meals) across Q1–Q3:
Total (Q1–Q3): ~940 lb of food (≈ 1,880 meals), which is about 31–32 standard 30‑lb bags. If every supported dog received a full monthly bag (30 lb), Q1–Q3 would equal ~2,820 lb in total. Actual distributions vary based on each dog’s situation (see below). How We Feed: Two Paths, Same Purpose Monthly Supply (for housed/temporarily sheltered families): We deliver a standard 30‑lb bag (or equivalent) to cover day‑to‑day needs at home. Portion‑Size Packs (for unsheltered neighbors): Large bags are hard to carry when everything you own is on your back. We assemble compact, ready‑to‑carry meal kits (½‑lb portions) with a collapsible bowl and info card—safer, lighter, and more practical on the move. Thank You, Donors and Partners To everyone who contributed funds or food: thank you. You turned compassion into 1,800+ meals (and counting) this year. Your support keeps families together, reduces shelter surrenders, and—most importantly—means no dog goes hungry. Making Change Pawsible remains committed to one simple promise: no dog goes hungry. With your continued help, we’ll keep that promise every week. Want to help? A single 30‑lb bag can become ~60 meals. Monthly gifts and in‑kind donations (kibble, wet food, treats, collapsible bowls) make the biggest difference. Donate or get involved at makingchangepawsible.org. Every day, countless animals find themselves abandoned, hungry, and without a home. Nonprofit organizations bridge this gap, providing essential services, love, and care to animals in need. Among these dedicated organizations is Making Change Pawsible, a heartfelt initiative I founded to ensure no dog has to experience hunger and homelessness alone. Why Nonprofits Matter Nonprofits are essential pillars of our communities, delivering critical services and advocating for vulnerable populations who often cannot advocate for themselves. They operate from a mission-driven heart, dedicating resources and efforts entirely to causes that uplift society and improve quality of life. Their existence relies profoundly on community support, awareness, and generosity. Introducing Making Change Pawsible At Making Change Pawsible, our mission is simple yet profound: feed homeless dogs and offer them a chance at a better life. Every dog we help reminds us of the profound impact a compassionate community can achieve. We operate transparently, channeling all resources directly toward feeding these deserving animals. The Impact of Your Support Your contributions are the backbone of what we do. With community support, we have successfully fed hundreds of homeless dogs, providing them nutrition, and hope. Each donation goes directly into providing food, that these animals desperately need. When you support Making Change Pawsible, you're not just donating—you're actively participating in a movement that transforms lives. Making a Difference Together Nonprofits like Making Change Pawsible exemplify the collective power of compassion and action. We invite you to join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of homeless dogs. |
