At Making Change Pawsible, our mission has always been simple: make sure no dog goes hungry and no pet owner feels alone. But something incredible happened during the first half of this year. We started by helping people. While many know us for supporting dogs and their families, Q1 and Q2 were focused on making sure pet owners had access to the resources they needed to stay healthy. Because when an owner is struggling with their health, it becomes harder to care for the companion who depends on them every day. The bond between a pet and its owner is powerful. Dogs provide unconditional love, comfort during difficult moments, emotional support during life's challenges, and a reason to keep going when things feel overwhelming. We believe that kind of love deserves to be returned. A Different Kind of SupportThis year, Making Change Pawsible helped pet owners gain access to medications and healthcare support that they may not have otherwise been able to afford. Through community partnerships and charitable assistance programs, we were able to help cover critical healthcare needs for individuals who work every day to care for their beloved pets. In addition, we helped provide more than $2,000 in health insurance premiums, ensuring that individuals could maintain healthcare coverage while continuing to provide stable, loving homes for their dogs. We also helped support numerous individuals with access to needed medications through our charitable donation initiatives, which exceeded $4,700 in assistance and medication support during this period. Where Dogs Become the HeroesMany people assume that we help dogs. The truth is, dogs help us too. Every wagging tail, every excited greeting at the door, every quiet moment sitting beside their owner reminds us that healing often comes in four-legged form. When we help a pet owner access medication, healthcare, or insurance coverage, we are also helping the dog who depends on them. We are protecting families. We are preserving companionship. We are strengthening the bond that keeps both people and pets thriving. In many ways, these dogs are helping fund and inspire the support being provided. Their stories remind us why this work matters. They are the reason we continue showing up, building partnerships, and creating solutions that benefit both ends of the leash. We Are Just Getting StartedThe impact we've made so far is only the beginning. As we move into the second half of the year, our focus remains on creating healthier communities, healthier pet owners, and healthier pets. We know there are more families who need support, more dogs who depend on their owners, and more opportunities to make a difference. Join Us at Life Be LifeingOn September 19, 2026, we invite our community to attend Life Be Lifeing: Reset Your Health, Reclaim Your Power, a powerful health and wellness experience focused on education, empowerment, and access to care. This event is more than a gathering—it's a movement. It brings together healthcare professionals, patient advocates, community leaders, and everyday people committed to improving their health and their future. Most importantly, all proceeds from the event will support the dogs and families served through Making Change Pawsible. When you purchase a ticket, become a sponsor, or share the event with others, you're helping ensure that more pet owners receive the support they need and more dogs remain in loving homes. Together, We Change LivesAt Making Change Pawsible, we believe compassion has no limits. Sometimes it looks like a bag of dog food. Sometimes it looks like a prescription. Sometimes it looks like helping someone keep their health insurance. And sometimes it looks like a dog reminding its owner that they are loved. The journey has only begun, and we are grateful for every supporter, volunteer, donor, partner, pet owner, and dog who has helped make this mission possible. Because when we take care of each other, everyone wins—especially our four-legged family members. We are just getting started. Making Change PawsibleHelping people. Helping pets. Strengthening the bond between them.
